Nearly 200 farmers in Teno, Chile, gather for the second edition of 'Tomato Farmers' Day,' organized by Agrozzi, to discuss the benefits of crop technification and share industry best practices amid challenges like water scarcity and climate change.

With the objective of promoting sustainable development in the Chilean countryside, nearly 200 farmers from Teno gathered at a new “Tomato Farmers’ Day”, organized by Agrozzi, Carozzi’s agroindustrial arm, where they discussed the benefits of the technification of this crop and shared best practices for the industry in a scenario marked by challenges such as water scarcity and climate change. This is the second edition of this activity, which was held on December 14 at Agrozzi’s plant in Teno, Maule Region.

Inspired by the company’s cause “Sharing Makes Good”, which encompasses all sustainability initiatives, the activity was part of the “Growing Together” program, which inspires actions and initiatives in agriculture, where the company shares knowledge and good practices with more than 3,100 farmers to strengthen this long-term relationship.

“This event is an opportunity to listen and share the different knowledge about tomato harvesting and the opportunities that the technification of this crop brings, both in terms of productivity and environmental effects,” said Juan Luis Ibarra, Agrozzi’s General Manager.
