Agrozzi reinforces its sustainability commitment with key certifications such as EcoVadis, APL, and Huella Chile.
Since our beginnings over 30 years ago, we have been committed to practices that ensure the quality of our products while respecting the environment. This commitment was reaffirmed with the recent acquisition of key certifications, including EcoVadis and the Clean Production Agreement (APL).
EcoVadis: A Global Standard in Corporate Sustainability
In 2023, we joined EcoVadis, one of the most recognized global platforms for assessing corporate sustainability. This European platform specializes in measuring and rating companies’ performance in key areas such as environment, labor rights, ethics, and responsible purchasing. For Agrozzi, being part of this network is a recognition of our ongoing commitment to improving our sustainable practices.
Agrozzi’s EcoVadis assessment not only provided us with a rating that reflects our good practices but also gave us a strong foundation to be more competitive in the European market. Meeting EcoVadis’s demanding standards puts us in a privileged position to continue expanding in markets where sustainability is a decisive factor for doing business.
Clean Production Agreement: Ongoing Commitment to Sustainability
In 2024, we celebrated the certification of the Fourth Clean Production Agreement. This agreement, led by Chilealimentos and promoted by Chile’s Ministry of the Environment, aims to improve resource efficiency and reduce the environmental impact of participating companies. In June of the same year, we signed the Fifth Clean Production Agreement, always guided by our commitment to advancing sustainable and responsible practices.
During the two years of implementing APL IV, Agrozzi focused on several key objectives: efficient management of energy and water resources, waste recovery, carbon footprint measurement and verification, and capacity building in our teams around sustainability, climate change, due diligence, and community relations. These initiatives strengthened labor skills and raised awareness, allowing us to establish a methodology to address climate risks.
