As is now tradition, Carozzi<\/strong> kicked off the 2025\u20132026 Tomato Season<\/strong> with a gathering that brought together nearly 200 growers from the Maule Region.<\/p>\n

During the event held at Agrozzi<\/strong>, we presented awards to 18 growers in recognition of their strong commitment, collaborative work, long\u2011standing trajectory, and productive performance in the crop\u2014individuals the company considers strategic partners.<\/p>\n

Digitalization and Sustainability in Agriculture<\/h2>\n

Throughout the day, attendees analyzed joint opportunities for the tomato crop to advance sustainable agriculture. Key presentations included:<\/p>\n

  • Carlos Yanine Gregorio<\/strong>, Commercial Manager at Hispatec Chile<\/strong>: Specializing in digital\u2011transformation projects.<\/li>\n
  • Roberto Labra Mej\u00edas<\/strong>, Account Manager southern zone at WiseConn<\/strong>: Automation Specialist in Technified Irrigation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    These experts shared techniques and new technologies aimed at digitizing agricultural management<\/strong>, optimizing resources, reducing losses, and improving traceability. These advancements enable more precise decision\u2011making, strengthening the supply chain and highlighting progress within the agricultural sector.<\/p>\n

    The event also featured the \u201cExpo Carozzi Agro\u2011Conexi\u00f3n\u201d<\/strong>, a space designed for suppliers of agricultural inputs and services to share information, advice, and contacts with growers\u2014strengthening their businesses and expanding opportunities.<\/p>\n

    Participating companies and institutions included: WiseConn, Agrosystems, Neoriente Ingenier\u00eda, Copeval, Blass, Equipos de Riego, and Sargent Agr\u00edcola<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    \u201cCarozzi has always supported us with training and innovations to improve our work. This recognition is very important to me and makes me feel proud to be part of Carozzi\u201d<\/em>, said Darlin Guissel<\/strong>, the grower who received the Esp\u00edritu Carozzi award.<\/p>\n

    Our Figures: Impact on Chilean Agriculture<\/h2>\n

    Carozzi works with more than 3,000 growers<\/strong>, representing over 66,000 planted hectares<\/strong> of fruits, vegetables, grains, and cereals, among others, across Chile\u2019s south\u2011central region.<\/p>\n

    Through Agrozzi<\/strong>\u2014our agro\u2011industrial arm\u2014we process 800,000 tons<\/strong> of Mediterranean fruits and vegetables, supplying more than 50 countries across five continents. Additionally, we contract over 30% of Chile\u2019s annual tomato production<\/strong>, transforming it into tomato pastes, sauces, ketchup, pizza sauces, and more.<\/p>\n

    Crecer Juntos Program and Water Efficiency<\/h2>\n

    Under our \u201cCrecer Juntos\u201d<\/strong> (Grow Together) program, we maintain a strategic alliance with growers, strengthening both the contract\u2011farming model<\/strong> and the price\u2011discovery model, which provides greater transparency in commercialization and more certainty when defining planting plans.<\/p>\n

    In tomato cultivation, Carozzi\u2014together with our agro\u2011industrial operations\u2014supports growers through the implementation, training, and financing of technified irrigation<\/strong>, which is 95% more efficient<\/strong> than traditional irrigation.<\/p>\n

    Today, nearly 90% of the more than 4,000 hectares of tomato crops operate under technified irrigation, increasing yields from 65 to 95 tons per hectare on average<\/strong>, significantly boosting productivity and competitiveness.<\/p>\n

    We are currently working on promoting and automating fertigation<\/strong>, implementing new tools and technologies that will allow Chilean agriculture to project itself to the world in a more competitive and sustainable way.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
